Our departure from Port Cassfieres on 21 October 2014, in high hopes and high winds, apologies for the sound quality but one of the cameras is not equipped with a wind-shield.

We had lunch at the canal-base restaurant, very good indeed, but it meant that it was 15:00 before we started to leave the base, water to check, diesel was already done, unplug from shore power (and not leave the cable at the base). Barrie made a flawless exit from the line of boats (using throttle, direction and the bow-thruster) and turned our bows Westwards towards Béziers and adventure. Although very windy it was in glorious sunshine that we set off, we also had seen a good weather forecast for the five days that we planned to stay together, on board on our way to Trèbes.

We had stocked up with wine, and all the other necessities of life on board our floating palace!
